Begin with the original.
Our collection draws on museum archives, including public-domain works made available through their open-access programmes. Each artwork page credits its museum source and links to the original record, with information about the archive image's licence.
We keep the central composition faithful to the archive image. To remove scanning background, we sometimes trim uneven captured edges of the canvas or paint. Intentional white margins give the image room within the print.
